Gmail guide
How to add a button to your Gmail signature.
Copy the finished button from Responello and paste it into the Gmail signature editor, a single email or your vacation responder. No HTML editing needed.
Install it in your email program
Choose where you use the button and which email program you use. The steps and the animation follow your choice.
Gmail
- In Responello, click Copy button.
- In Gmail on the web, open Settings (gear icon) › See all settings › General.
- Under Signature, create or select a signature and paste the button into the editor.
- Scroll down, click Save Changes and send yourself a test email.
The Gmail mobile app uses the signature from your computer unless you create a separate mobile signature there.
Official help: Create a Gmail signature
Before you paste
Create the button in Responello, assign a notification channel and save it. Then use Copy button, not Copy HTML code, so Gmail receives the formatted button.
- Keep the label short and action-specific.
- Enable the plain-text fallback link if recipients use simple email apps.
- Assign at least one notification channel before you test.
After you paste
Send a message to another account and open it on desktop and mobile. Open the button, submit the request form or complete the confirmation, and check that the notification arrives in your connected channel. Opening the button alone does not send an alert.
- Check colours and spacing in the delivered email.
- Confirm the button opens the Responello page.
- Replace the button wherever you use it after changing its design.
Practical notes
The Gmail mobile app uses the signature from your computer unless you create a separate mobile signature there.
Gmail may adjust some styling. Always check a delivered test email.
Put a button where the moment matters.
Create a button, choose where the signal should arrive, and test the complete confirmation flow.
